The education which you have been
given confers on you responsibilities
which we earnestly hope that you
will assume. In today's world, you
will be leaders and to those whom
you lead you must give the inspir-
ation for good citizenship and all
the other qualities which have been
instilled in you. May you be ever
successful in this and may you
develop a true leadership in others.
CHARLES P. CONLON
DIRECTOR
Graduation isn't the end of
learning. You learn as long
as you live, and you find in
life exactly what you put into
it. My congratulations and
best wishes for your success.

PROPHECY
It's now 1983. It is fifteen years since we graduated from good
old Trade. Times have changed since we graduated, the Beatles are
bald, Elvis lost his hounddog , shirts ara shorter, buildings are highe
everything is bigger, better, faster and groovier.
Joe Connors and Paul Nowak are now the chief editors of Playboy.
They thought it would be fun contacting everyone from the Class of 68.
As they said, " our travels took ue to Maine, where we saw Marty Veiga
and Frank Jusczak building a wooden frame for the 1984 G.T.O's
thinking that this will make them famous and rich. It will be manu-
factured as soon as one of them gets brave enough to test it. They
told us that Butch Gameau and Tom Flemming were at the beach testing
a new enlarged surf board for their old friend Tiny Tim. Our next
stop was Cape Kennedy in Florida whera we saw Frank Fay and John
Maloney. We asked them what they were doing. They told us they signed
a contract with the government to build 1,000 out houseson the moon
so we will have some place to go when we get up there. We took a plane
to Fort Knox where we saw Dave McFadden and Rudy Misiazek, they were
both happily married and told us they were now making wooden nickels,
because of the shortage of gold. Dave told us that Bob Noel and Tom
Paton had opened up a toothpick factory in the Sahara Desert and were
doing very well. We then went to Boston where we bumped into Bernie
Champagne who said he was now the manager of the Boston Celtics and
that his star players were Dick Bouchard and John Vail. Bernie told
us that Bob Dyment and Frank Connor own a company making bed frames
in New Jersey. We took a trip up there to see Bob and Frank. As we
walked into the office we saw Bob and he told us Frank was asleep
testing the merchandise. They were doing extremely well and both were
catching up on their sleep. We read in the paper that Steve Kowalski,
Arthur Silva, Henry Tallard and Dave Wallace had won a Nobel prize
for building a bridge from California to Hawaii. We congratulated
Steve and he told us that Arthur and he started from California and
Henry and Dave from Hawaii and they were to meet halfway. They would
have been finished sooner except that Henry and Dave started from the
wrong end of the island. We then took a train to Texas where Dick
Beaubien and Dennis Brodeur were the chief engineers at a large oil
plant. We talked to Dick over a bowl of chicken soup, using one of his
own chickens he raised back here in Lowellon his own chicken farm
which he owned when he was going to Lowell Trade. He told us they
were doing very well. Bill Foy, Roland Smith and Steve Rybicki are
working as head designers for Bell Telephone Co. and they told us
they were still working on the "shoe phone". They said they got the
idea frjm some T.V. show. We then talked to Marc Grandchamp who told
us he was the chief mechanic for the Marc V which is going to be
driven by Richard ( AJ ) Jaibert in the India inpolis 500. We wished
them a lot of luck. Our travels also took us to Detroit where we
talked to Joe Kirane who now owns General Motors. He told us Robert
Litchfield was working for him as a janitor and was really cleaning
up on the deal. Joe told us that Jack Spinney and Wayne Le Gacy owned
the Land S garages, a chain stretching from Maine to Florida. Leo Page
and David Taylor, both in the Army’s motor pool, said they’d be
generals by now if the Commander-In-Chief’s car hadn’t blown up.

in Chevrolet s. They both are doing very well. On our way to the North
Pole we talked to Bob Sousa who told us he was working day and night
on a new engine, which would ran on flower power. He told us he was
happily married with fifteen kids. No wonder why he is working day
and night. We then talked to Ralph Lally ( now retired, unbeaten
middleweight champ) and Gene Pare’ who told us they owned the L & P

for target practice. Tim Noyes and Phil Wagner are now the new
owners of J.H. Winn Co. Their chief tool and die makers are Danny
Flanagan and Dick DeCarteret. We then talked 1; i Norm Desmarais and

do many odd jobs but for the most part are making gun barrels for
Mr. Fuller. Bill told us that Henry Dueharme is working for the Army
making a 5,000 yard pea shooter which the Army is going to use as a
secret weapon, Henry is also taking breathing exercise so he can test
it out. We then went to New York where we saw Eddie Corcoran who now
owns his own shop where he upholsters nothing but the finest furniture.
While we were in New York we saw Bruce Lessieur and Bob Matt thews
undertaking the fantastic feat of painting the Empire State Building
with an inch wide brush. Bruce told us that Bill Mulligan and Norn
Roathier were working for Dupont in the research department develop-
ing a poker dot paint, he said he thought that the best they could
do so far was a checker board paint. Well we hope they keep on
trying. We glance at Donna Bordeleau who is a model at a shop called
"Out of Site" . The business is owned by Dolly Cote and is managed
by Janice Dion. Both Donna and Janice are married and expecting in
one month. Dolly Cote plans to marry in the middle of June. While

Superintendent's department, Nancy Machado is the Principal. Her
secretary isLynda Christie. We all heard of the political scene, well
Kathy Koziarski is running for President of Japan where they can’t
understand English. Her campaign manager is Lorraine Montmarquet
who writes in Japanese," If you want to go wacky vot for Kathy".
Her opponent is Mary Pitman who comes from Cloud 9.
On the "Hit Parade" we see Linda Freitas singing "Love is Cool"
It is her biggest hit yet. Annette Gagnon is a skillful manager and
has sky rocketed Linda to success in the world of records. Janet
Blanchette, who now ownsher own ballroom, is running a special
show for Linda in the near future. We see Joanne Abreau working as
an airline stewardess for a national airline. While working she met
Louise Blanchette and Alice Brouillard, two of her old school mates
who were very popular in her class. Meanwhile we find Stella
Dagoumas married and owner of a drug store, Denise Martin is employed
by her. Therese Boisvert, who lives in a big white house, is married
to the President. Anne Marshall is the mother of three lovely children,

Judy Gilbert, one of the wealthiest girls on the block, is now look-
ing for Henry the VIII. Debbie James still patiently works by the
bedside of sweet old people. Nancy Le.febvre is married and has four
children, and in her spare time works in a beauty salon. Vickie Jean
is with the "In Crowd" while her husband is making his way into office.
Collette Marcouillier works in the Write House as the First Lady's
hairdresser. Sue Marr works as her assistant. Doris Piche was found
in New York, cutting men's hair. Claire Noel is head of the Nutrition
Department in a local hospital.
From what we saw of our graduating class, everybody was very
successful and very happy so we can really say in truth that the

"REMEMBER WHEN"
CLASS POEM
Charlene Beaulieu
In future years when our careers we are pursuing
Perhaps only then will we feel the fullest blosoming
Of thankfulness for dedicated teaching
As we apply the lessons taught.
Sometimes days were stormy and the road seemed long
As we learned to persevere, techniques and facts we soon absorbed
But looking back we realize how trained we were to surge ahead
To learn and learn throughout our lives
That we may better serve another's need
Thank you TRADE for priceless years.

The '67-' 68 season was another fine one for the Traders.
The team finished second in league play with a total of 7 wins and
3 losses. Over all it was 10 and 8„
Lowell did well in all respects with sharp shooter John
Vail breaking all City records. He tallied 442 points to win the
schoolboy scoring championship. Other Seniors who played well were
Dick Bouchard with 193, Bob Sousa with 44, Roland Marchand and Paul
Nowak both getting clutch baskets when needed.
The team should do well next year. They will be doing
some rebuilding, but have many fine prospects from the J.V. squad.
Some of the outstanding sophomores and juniors were
Rich Bastien captain-elect, Moe Beausoleil and Dennis Matte.
The Seniors would like to wish Coach Slattery and next
year’s team the best of luck and "Here’s to a championship!"

The "68" season was a very interesting one for it
consisted of only two Seniors, Dick Bouchard and
Marty Veiga. They did a fine job for the Traders.
The future should be promising for Coach Slattery,
since he had a fine turnout of Freshmen. It was well
organized, and had the best coaching in the city.
Trade is very proud of these athletes.
